Syracuse Idol 2009

Syracuse Heritage Days was June 21-27th. Last year Jordann decided she wanted to give Syracuse Idol a try. With the help of a new good friend to pick the songs and get them ready, she learned three new songs. We've tried multiple times to upload them onto the blog so everyone could see the fabulous job she did but they would never work. She had the most support we think of anyone else there. There were 12 people competing.

This is just a few of the people who came to see her perform.

Our neighbor made about 40 of these cute signs. Some of them also said Jordann Rocks! We all could wave them and cheer for her. The kids had posters with each letter of her name, etc. showing their support. It was really fun!

She sang two songs on Monday: I Love You by Martina McBride - Isn't her opening pose cute? This song really showed her personality. There was a lot of flirting.
Then she sang Only Hope by Mandy Moore. They had problems with the CD so we started running home to get another one. When they got it fixed she was out of breath from running back, and went straight on stage. She handled it really well. They liked the "softness in her voice". Although she didn't advance to the final round and sing her third song, which was Hero by Mariah Carey, it was fun to see her grow and get the experience and make her voice that much stronger. In all our eyes, she was the Syracuse Idol!! Thanks again for the support!!!
